Fast Forward on “Flash”?

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Geoff Johns, the writer of Green Lantern: Rebirth and the current (and utterly amazing) Flash: Rebirth has written a treatment and will be serving as a producer for a big-screen adaptation of The Flash. Johns is an excellent choice to shepherd this long-dormant project along – he has a feel for the character, which comes from an apparent passion for the history of the Scarlet Speedster. It also appears that a number of DC Comics properties are moving forward these days – in my opinion, it’s about time!

For now, I leave you with the Flash in action from Justice League: The New Frontier – Think fast, Flash fans!

I think we’ll have to agree to disagree with regards to Rebirth, Flash – thus far, it’s kind of left me cold. However, I do agree that the green light for a Flash movie is welcome news, along with the announcement of a slew of comic-related movies – truthfully, I think I’m more intrigued by some of the less superhero oriented ones, such as ‘Jonah Hex’ and ‘Adam Strange’.

The last panel of the most recent issue rescued it for me – just waiting for a great follow-up…
